What is the process for pre-approval?
Complete the online form for the course you wish to take. You may also need to submit syllabi, course descriptions, or flyers to the personnel office via the school courier to help the committee make an informed decision. Do we need to apply for pre-approval every time? The answer to this question depends largely on the coursework that you are thinking of taking. If the organization offering the course is NOT on the pre-approved provider list, then you MUST have preapproval. If the course is offered by an institution on the preapproved provider list, then there is no requirement for pre-approval. Pre-approval is a smart idea, however, because it is the only way to ensure that your opinion as to whether the course “fits” your IPDP matches the opinion of the LPDC.
