What is the process for getting an I-20?
• To receive an I-20, you must be formally admitted to the university and have submitted proof of sufficient funding on the Certification of Financial Responsibility (CFR). To apply to FSU, and for more information about the admissions process, deadlines, costs and requirements, visit the International Admissions Office web site: http://admissions.fsu.edu/intl/. The Center for Global Engagement’s responsibility during the Admissions process is to evaluate your available funding after you are admitted to FSU and to provide you with the immigration documents for study in the United States. We will also provide you with information regarding pre-arrival and the visa application process. Florida State University is required by U.S. federal regulations to verify the financial resources of each applicant prior to issuing the Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20 for F-1 visa applicants or Form DS-2019 for J-1 visa applicants). In addition to completing your application for admission to FSU,
