What is the process for becoming certified?
Exam applications may be downloaded from our website. Applications are to be completed, notarized and forwarded to our office with necessary documentation and licensure information. Additionally, candidates are required to submit 20 hours of ABQAURP-approved CME/CEU credits to sit for the exam. ABQAURPs Core Body of Knowledge online course fulfills this requirement and is also a good review tool. ABQAURP has an application review and approval process in place to assure a timely response for all exam candidates. Once approved, ABQAURP will mail an approval letter. The applicant information is forwarded to the National Board of Medical ExaminersSM; (NBMESM); this is the entity that will issue the permit. Once the permit is received, you will contact a Prometric® Testing Center to schedule a date and time to sit for the exam. To familiarize yourself with the exam, visit the home page of our website, click Certification: • Choose Exam Highlights for the exam categories and sub-categories.
