What is the process for assessing the economic benefits of and revenues from the proposed medical clinic/hospital?
As the applicant has non-profit status, it does not pay annual property taxes that would be received by the City.There is potential direct and indirect sales tax revenue which is being evaluated by the City in a cost/benefit analysis that will also determine the cost of providing municipal services (public safety, public works, and other city services). The proposed economic benefits from the Medical Center, if realized, would provide additional revenue to the Citys General Fund and support city services.
