What is the process for applying Early Decision to NYU School of Medicine?
NYU School of Medicine offers a special Early Decision option for graduates of the College of Arts and Science. All students wishing to apply must have a 3.60 GPA by the end of the spring semester of the year in which he/she is applying. Students must also take the MCAT no later than April in the year they plan to apply. Applications are usually available at the end of March and the deadline for its completion is usually the end of April. Students must return their completed applications to Silver 901. Please visit the “Important Dates” section of the prehealth website for the specific dates for the current application cycle. Applicants should be available for a possible interview during the month of June and admissions decisions are rendered by July 15 and often earlier. Students who are not accepted through Early Decision will be put into the regular applicant pool and will not have to complete another application.
