What is the process behind scheduling interviews?

After you send out your ERAS applications and the programs have begun sifting through all of the material from all of their applicants they will begin to send out, via e-mail, invitations to interview. This often occurs before all portions of your application are complete. In the e-mail that you receive from the program you will be given a list of available dates and you will be told to reply with the date that is most appropriate for your interview schedule. (2) Be sure to reply as soon as you know that you are able to make it on one of the days. Interview days tend to fill up fast, particularly during peak interview times, and if you want to TRY to make a geographic interview swing it will be imperative that you move quickly to lock in that date that is best for you.
