What is the process and the timeframe for completing planokc?
The process for preparing planOKC involves collecting and analyzing relevant data to help understand the issues and challenges we are facing. We will work with a variety of stakeholders including City staff, citizens, neighborhoods, public agencies, non-profits and private organizations to refine the issues and develop strategies and recommendations. The process, issues, and solutions/recommendations will be documented and formalized into a policy document – planOKC. We will begin forming stakeholder groups over the summer of 2010 and begin meeting in the fall and throughout the winter. Stakeholder groups may meet periodically throughout 2011 as the plan is prepared. We anticipate that planOKC will be completed in late 2012.
