Follow the cement backer board manufacturer’s instructions for the installation of their cement backer board. Once the cement backer board is installed, fastened and taped properly, use the following procedure; Dampen the board with a damp sponge to clean the surface and to minimize the absorption rate of the cement backer board for a brief period. There are a variety of LATICRETE products that can be used to install the tile or stone. For the superior results, use a LATICRETE® Latex Fortified Thin-set mortar system (e.g. LATICRETE 254 Platinum or, LATICRETE 211 Powder mixed with LATICRETE 4237 Latex Additive).
