All of the MSA2 transactions are hung up in VGENCICS. 1. Logon to VGENCICS or perform this from the Console Room where there is always a session logged on. 2. CEMT I TASK. This will show all of the active transactions. 3. Type FOR next to the oldest transaction in the list. 4. Check on the Console for message “DFHFC0300 VGENCICS (MSA2 L503) purge deferred due to incomplete I/O”. 5. If you see the above message, the CICS region must be re-cycled to resolve the problem. 6. From the Terminal that is logged on in the Console room, enter the command CEMT P SHUT,I to shutdown VGENCICS. 7. Start VGENCICS on the Console.
