What is the procedure of applying for the Learner s License?
Applicant should be of 18 years of age. But if the vehicle is below 50 CC, the minimum age required is 16 years. If the vehicle is for transportation purpose, the minimum age required is 20 years. Application duly filled in Form A along with the documents of proof of residence such as SSLC Book, ration card, telephone bill, LIC policy or electoral roll, should be submitted to the Motor Vehicle Office of the concerned area. Other important documents required are, Medical certificate in Form 1 A (Not required for driving private vehicle) two copies of Form 3, three passport size photographs, and fee receipts. There will be a test, if passed in the test; the applicant will be given a learner s license for 6 months. By paying the fees the learner s license can be renewed. If failed in the test, by paying another fee can appear for the new test after seven days.
