What is the procedure if non-UA students want to take classes at UA as a Guest Student?
An undergraduate guest student must apply to the Office of Admissions. A graduate student must apply through the Dean’s Office of the Graduate School. A guest student may not, as a general rule, attempt more than 16 credits in any semester or session and is subject to all rules and regulations of The University of Akron. Guest students must be in good standing at their home school. The following procedures should be followed when applying to the University as a guest student: 1. Obtain a guest student application from the Office of Admissions. Complete it and return it with the nonrefundable application fee (a one-time charge). 2. Receive advice and written approval by the home institution of the coursework for which the student plans to enroll. 3. After admittance, information regarding registration will be sent to the student. The admissions officers act as guest student advisers.
