CALEA limits what we can do! CALEA does not come into play until after legal authorization is presented to the provider. Only in a life or death situation would this information be required before the lawful authorization is presented. You may have to hold the data waiting for the lawful authorization but this will be listed in the documents. Otherwise interception/collection only starts after you have legal documents. Additionally we were told this question is not a CALEA question and it was hinted that there are times when you have to decide between contacting your attorney and trusting your conscience.
