Sheffield Towne Association is doing in-house snow plowing. The village of Schaumburg handles Walnut, Flintshire, Portland and Dumont. Plowing begins when we have 2″ or more of snow. Please remember that we shovel and plow streets and main walkways. Parking lots, spaces and driveways will be plowed after all streets are cleared. It is each homeowner’s responsibility to shovel their own walkways from their front door down to the main walkway and/or driveway. After we have 1″ of snow the maintenance crew will start salting and cleaning side walks. The following are some suggestions for making the plowing run more safely and effectively: 1. If your car is parked on the street, move it so the street can be plowed. 2. If you hear the snow removal equipment clearing driveways and spaces in your area, temporarily move your vehicle so your space can be cleared. 3.
