What is the procedure for filing a Release of Deed of Trust?
· Release of Deed of Trust Forms may be obtained on the Public Trustee website, in person at the Public Trustee office, at any local office supply store, or Bradford Publishing at 17th and Wazee. · A Release of Deed of Trust form must be filled out, signed and notarized. · The form must be accompanied by a copy of the Deed of Trust and the original promissory note marked “paid” or “cancelled.” · Release filing fees are $21 for the first page $5 for each additional page and $5 for each additional grantor or grantee.. · Include a name and address on the back of the release form. This address will be used to mail the form back once it has been recorded. · Processing of Release of Deed of Trust forms takes 2 to 4 weeks.
