A. The procedure for the sample collection is as follows: Container for collecting the sample has to be collected from the testing laboratory. Do not discard the preservative that will be added to the container by the laboratory technician. Discard the first urine passed in the morning and note the time. All the urine passed subsequently (for the next 24 hrs) has to be collected directly into the container. Urine has to be directly discharged into the container. The sample has to be submitted for testing within an hour.
