What is the procedure for applying Exos products?
Once heated for three to five minutes in the special Exos oven, the soft cast or brace is opened and slid onto the extremity. The closure system is loosely tightened. This process takes less than a minute. About five minutes remain to form the product to the body using the hands and closure system. Most Exos products are pre-shaped using sewn seams so very little additional fitting is required to conform it anatomically. The hands are used to shape the product, align and reduce, and form the edges comfortably and precisely to the patent. After a few minutes the material begins to cool, harden and the process is complete.
