There are several ways to be heard during a council meeting. First, if the topic you wish to address is scheduled as a public hearing, the Mayor will ask for public participation by persons with a general or vested interest. If your topic is not scheduled as an agenda item, you can complete a “speaker’s request” form and provide it to the City Clerk by 12 Noon on Wednesday prior to the meeting. It will then be included on the agenda under “Scheduled Presentations”. Finally, if you don’t prearrange your item, there is an opportunity for “Comments from the audience” at the end of each regular meeting.
