What is the procedure after submitting a Building Regulation Application?
On submission of an application it will be checked to ensure that all the necessary documentation and information has been provided for us to carry out our functions. If your application cannot be registered then you will be informed of why and what other information is required to be able to register the application. An acknowledgment letter will be issued within 5 days of receipt of your Building Regulation application. When a Full Plans application is submitted we will endeavour to check the application for compliance with the Building Regulations within the statutory period which is 5 weeks or 2 months (if you agree) from the date of deposit. However, that is not to say that it will take us that amount of time to commence work on your application. In the case of a Building Notice being submitted an Acceptance will be granted (subject to certain provisions) within 5 working days of deposit.
