What is the problem with the Mitac Mio 8390 ?
The Mitac Mio 8390 is shipped with a faulty firmware which causes most games and video applications (including PocketTV) to malfunction. You can solve the problem by using one of the following two methods: • GAPI to GDI wrapper This method is easy to install, but PocketTV will not perform very efficiently with this method, and “Fast Video”, if it is available, it will not be any faster (PocketTV will always use GDI). • GAPI Signing Pack This method is a little bit more complicated but there is a nice tutorial in the package that explains all the steps involved. Games and Video applications (including PocketTV) will work perfectly once signed by this method. Once signature has been performed, select “PocketTV Menu > Options > Settings > Fast Video” for optimum performances.
