What is the probabilistic way of reserve estimation in VolOil/VolGas?
A. The program uses the Monte Carlo simulation method to arrive at probabilistic reserve predictions. Parameters like area, thickness, Oil Saturation, Recovery Factor, etc can be assumed to have different distributions. These distributions include normal, log-normal, constant, triangular, etc. The program then calculates the P10, P50 and P90 reserves.
