What is the “primary number” in UGAAlert?
The primary number is the one most likely to reach you when you are on UGA property. For most people, this will be a cell phone number. Please note, choosing the text messaging feature and selecting your cell phone as your primary number will result in your cell phone getting both a voice call and a text message. If you want your cell phone to only receive text message alerts, you must enter an additional number and select it as your primary number. Keep in mind that text messages are typically limited to 130 characters so you may received shortened warnings.
