What is the primary identifier for students in the data warehouse?
The data warehouse uses a GTID (Georgia Testing ID) as the primary identifier for a student. Since GTIDs were not required in the 2005-2006 SR data collection, the student’s demographic data had to be matched with the corresponding GTID in the GTID database before it could be loaded into the data warehouse. A vast majority of records were matched to the student’s GTID. For those students that enrolled after the initial generation of GTIDs in November 2005 and then withdrew or graduated before GTIDs were required in the November 2006 data collections, a GTID was issued so that the records could be inserted into the data warehouse.
