What is the primary address?
A. The primary address (also known as Address 1) is the address that is located immediately above the City, State, Zip Code line on the mailing label. The primary address is the address to which the mail is to be delivered. For example, if an address record has both a street address and a PO box number and the recipient wishes to receive their mail at the PO box, then the PO box number should be placed in the primary address field on your database file. The secondary address (also known as Address 2) is located immediately above the primary address on the mailing label. This may contain information such as apartment numbers, suite numbers, building names, etc. Address 3, if it exists, is located immediately above the secondary address on the mailing label. Address 4, if it exists, is located immediately above address 3 on the mailing label. As a general rule of thumb, the most important address information required for delivery should be placed in the primary address field on your list
