What is the prettiest flower bush?
I like Rose of Sharon. They are actually small trees, but you can prune them to bushes. They have beautiful flowers, and I like them because they bloom mid to late summer, when not a lot of other stuff is in bloom. Hydrangeas are nice bushes as well. The color of the flower will depend on the acidity in your soil…either pink or blue, usually. Forsythia has lovely yellow flowers, and is usually the first bush to bloom in the spring. Some other choices are flowering quince, roses, weigelia, peony, bridal wreath, camelias and rhododendrons. A lot depends on your climate. Local nurseries and landscape companies can give you good advice on what grows well in your area.
