What is the Presidents Senior Sendoff Reception?
Every year, President Michael McRobbie and First Lady Laurie Burns McRobbie host a reception in the IU Auditorium to greet graduates and their families and to wish them well as they leave the university to begin the next chapters in their lives. Cookies, lemonade and strawberries add a festive touch to the event, which has been a Commencement tradition for decades. The reception takes place from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., prior to the Baccalaureate Ceremony, also in the IU Auditorium.
