What is the Pre and Post Consumer recycled content?
Pre-consumer recycled content refers to leftover material that would normally be a waste product as a result of the manufacturing process but, instead is collected and used to make a new product. For example: leftover fabric trimmings at a clothing manufacturer can be recovered and used in the manufacture of new clothing. Post-consumer recycled content denotes material that has been used up, recycled, and then used to re-manufacture a new product. For example: old aluminum cans are recycled, reprocessed and used in the manufacture of new cans and other aluminum products.
