The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (“FSCS”) is a compensation scheme which came into force under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The FSCS replaces a number of previous compensation schemes, among them the Policyholders Protection Board (“PPB”). For further guidance as to whether the FSCS will offer protection, Scheme Creditors should refer to Appendix E of the Scheme. For further information on the FSCS please see the FSCS website at www.fscs.org.
