What is the POSTINI ANTI-SPAM Firewall and how do I use it?
The POSTINI ANTI-SPAM Firewall will filter all incoming email messages to students, faculty and administrative staff and identify messages that appear to be unsolicited. Users will receive a daily report and have an opportunity to review messages identified as SPAM. Users will also be able to adjust settings individually if they wish to define additional filtering for their account. For instructions on how to configure POSTINI specifically for your mailbox call our Network Help Desk at 914-594-4582. Occasionally unsolicited messages will make it past the POSTINI Anti-Spam Firewall and into your mailbox. The POSTINI plug-in for Outlook allows a user to classify messages as spam or not-spam right from their desktop. This classification performs Bayesian learning and results in higher accuracy for the POSTINI Anti-Spam Firewall.
