What is the Positive Behavior Support Program?
The Positive Behavior Support Program (PBS Program) involves designing an individualized behavioral intervention plan for students whose behavior impedes their learning process or the learning of others. Each plan is based on an understanding of the relationship between a students behavior and aspects of his or her environment. The PBS Program can be seen as a proactive process for addressing behavioral challenges, as well as program to address current behavioral issues. Plans Include: Targeting students strengths and needs Group Work Regular meetings with the Positive Behavior Support Liaison Program Objectives: Assist students in identifying and dealing with their emotions in an appropriate manner.
