What is the population of Nigerians in Turkey like?
Between 2,700 to 3,000 Nigerian are presently living in Turkey. But unfortunately, only very few are staying legally. Most of them come with the purpose of crossing into European countries and they end up having serious problem by getting involved in some nefarious activities which are detrimental to our relationship, the host community. How do you address those challenges? We are working hard because most of those who are arrested by government end up in prisons and some of them who are trying to get back to Nigeria do not have the document and the embassy cannot be of help either. What is it that Nigeria can learn from this economy in terns of business relationship? Turkey is one of the best economies in the world, ranking fifteenth among other economies.
