Cusco has a population of about 300,000 inhabitants. Cusco is the capital of the Department of Cusco, in the southern part of Peru at about 850 kilometers from Lima. The city center of Cusco is pretty small and there are quite a lot of tourists. Outside of the center there are the more residencial neighborhoods. There are two universities, three hospitals, a swimming pool, several high schools and primary schools, a cinema, theater, an airport.
