What is the policy on Communicating directly with my sponsored child?
Sponsored child and his/her family members know the detailed information about the sponsors. We provide details about the sponsored child, his/her family and community background to the sponsors. The letters/queries of the sponsors in English language communicated to the sponsored child in his/her own language and his/her replies/queries translated into English by the professionals and sent to the concern sponsor. Normally we practice three letters’ sessions encouraging direct communication of the child with his/her sponsored and vice-versa – i.e. 1st Term letters in the month of April, 2nd Term letters in the month of August and New Year Greetings (3rd Term Letters) in the month of December. The sponsored child is free to write about his/her progress, situation in which he/she lives, about his/her family/community/ village or any interesting events/incidence he/she experienced or anything he/she thinks is important to share with his/her sponsor.
