What is the policy of transferring schools?
All schools have “open enrollment”. Class sizes are capped at 23 for primary and 26 for intermediate. In the spring they request the transfer from the principal in their home school and this is sent to the PPS department. There is a transfer meeting to discuss all the transfers after registration. In the elementary schools we have 483 students going to school other than their neighborhood school. Once in school they don’t need to reapply.
