What is the policy for play time and positions on the field?

0

Storm coaches make decisions about positions based on where a particular player will make the strongest contribution to the overall team’s ability to win. Often, that means that players may not get to play in positions they want because their skills better serve the team in another position. Parents should work with the players and coach to fully understand the decisions. Play time is awarded by skill and ability. Like position placement, play time is based on what a player brings to the team in terms of helping it win. Unlike recreational leagues, there is no guarantee for play time on Storm teams. Although coaches look to ensure every player gets a chance to play, individual game circumstances will warrant who plays and where they play. Play time is not awarded based on whether you participated in any MVSA softball clinic. Clinic participation is an optional activity. Girls are not required to take any clinics to earn play time.
