What is the point of the News of the World?
The News of the World, along with it’s sister paper The Scum is cheap sensationalistic journalism aimed at people who believe anything and everything they read. The old Fleet Street adage of ‘never let the truth get in the way of a good story’ is never more accurately applied than when talking about the NOTW and the Scum. I wouldn’t even trust the weather forecast or the date printed on the masthead. And as for the ‘world exclusives’ – all that means is a trashy story that no self respecting paper would bother to put into print. Get this rubbish off the news-stands. I wouldn’t even make a papier-mache balloon out of this garbage. As for using it for chip wrappings – I’d much rather my chips came wrapped in the Daily Sport or Mayfair magazine – much less embarrassing.
