What is the point of the bows getting faster and faster every year? Has this gone too far?

PSE has a bow advertised at 366 fps .A flat trajectory is always a plus but to sacrifice a horrific draw cycle and a minimum brace height is not really the way to go is it ? If your shooting over 280 FPS and in some cases well up into the low to mid 300’s, an average fixed blade could end up in Toledo instead of a bucks chest cavity.
