What is the point of nba players taking steroids?

0

For most players in the NBA, taking steroids would probably have little or no performance enhancing benefit at all, which is why the league doesn’t really have a huge steroid problem. basketball relies more on agility and coordination and not so much on power and brute strength. If you’re a power hitter in baseball or a sprinter in track then steroids would probably help you a lot, but i could understand why certain NBA players might want to get bigger and stronger. If you’re a post player and you’re thin and weak, I could understand you wanting to improve your strength. Shawn Bradley, Hasheem Thabeet, maybe a Dikembe Mutombo type player may have benefited from it, but the list of players who would benefit from using steroids is small. Basketball players are no more ethical or no less competitive than baseball players or track and field stars. If steroids made you a better basketball player you best believe a lot of NBA guys would use them.
