Conservative political commentator Joe Scarborough will be the keynote speaker at the Kansas Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner early next year in Topeka. Scarborough, a former Republican congressman, hosts “Morning Joe” on MSNBC and “The Joe Scarborough Show” on ABC radio stations across the country. He previously hosted “Scarborough Country” on MSNBC and is the author of two books: “The Last Best Hope” and “Rome Wasn’t Burnt in a Day.” “We are very pleased to have someone with the national recognition of Joe Scarborough as the keynote speaker for our annual dinner,” said Kansas Chamber president Amy J. Blankenbiller. “Mr. Scarborough will offer his unique perspective on the current political landscape based on his experiences and will be a speaker that both our business members and political leaders will appreciate.” The chamber’s dinner, to be held Feb. 2, is the largest annual statewide gathering of business and political leaders in Kansas with more than 1,200 participants.
