What is the point of Columbus Day?
That whole “discovery” thing is nonsense. It’s ethno centric. I can’t really agree with you about Columbus and HItler. First, it’s not his fault that we make political perversion of what was essentially an act of bravery. And it wasn’t him who butchered the native peoples. That came later with the Spanish Conquistadors. Oddly enough 1492 is also the year that Jews were expelled from Spain.
