To eliminate LTO – which has no respect for seniority. WHAT IS WRONG WITH AN LTO SYSTEM? LTO systems ignore seniority and award trips based on time-not seniority. Any Reserve system based on LTO is a company driven system. LTO disadvantages Reserves, as it takes away your seniority and replaces trip awards/assignment with time flown in a month. DID THE COMPANY WANT TO MAINTAIN AN LTO SYSTEM? Yes. LTO works for the company. LTO does not work for a Reserve. The basis of any LTO system is to level out Reserve Guarantee pay. The company does not care what trip a Reserve is awarded/assigned. The company only cares that all Reserves end up with whatever trip the company wants-not a trip that a Reserve wants. WHY CAN’T WE GO BACK TO THE “OLD” RESERVE SYSTEM? Negotiation is a two way street. The Company wanted to maintain an LTO system. LTO is the industry standard because it is a company system. Our old system was replaced by LTO as a result of bankruptcy and restructuring agreements. The com
