What is the plan for the future of children with Special Needs in Broward?

0

It began in 2004 when the Children’s Services Council of Broward contracted with the Broward Regional Health Planning Council to analyze the system of care and the gaps in services for children with Special Needs in Broward County. One recommendation from this analysis was the need to create a single source of information and referral to enable family members and providers in Broward to be linked to health education and social service agencies. From this initiative, the Special Needs Hotline was born. Effective October 1st, 2006, this comprehensive service is accessible simply by dialing 2-1-1.
