What is the plan for doing something about Harriette’s position?
It will be important for the new Rector to have the opportunity to get to know the parish and its needs, and then hire a Director of Children’s Ministries who can best fit in this position. We would like for the Rector to have time to do this in a thoughtful way, and so our goal is to find a way to have the position covered on a temporary basis that will allow time for a strong long-term plan. A small committee has been formed to make recommendations about the best way to go about this. They will submit a proposal to the Vestry at the March meeting. Because we know that Cathie will also be leaving, the proposal will include covering her responsibilities related to Youth Formation (the J2A program).
