What is the picture mode setting on the Samsung?
Usually there’s some type of “real” or “just scan” mode that displays the full picture right to the edge. Some sources place artifacts near the edge of the picture which can be seen in this mode. There should also be a “wide” or “16:9” mode that crops the edges of the picture to cut off these artifacts. You might check these settings in the “Picture Size” menu of the TV.
