What is the physical mening for Enstrophy in the Fluid flow?
It basically describes how the fluid acts to dissapate energy in terms of kinetic energy. In a mechanical problem, this would be like how friction acts to slow down movement (velocity) because it dissapates energy. Carpet has a higher friction potential then something like a polished aluminum plate. ———— The enstrophy can be interpreted as another type of potential density (ie. see probability density); or, more concretely, the equantity directly related to the kinetic energy in the flow model that corresponds to dissipation effects in the fluid.
