What is the Perth and Kinross Local House Condition Survey 2009?
The Local Housing Strategy identifies the housing needs of all households across Perth and Kinross. Within the strategy the Council has to comment on the Scottish Housing Quality Standard, which sets out what is good quality acceptable housing. The survey will measure houses in Perth and Kinross against this standard and will: • help the Council to implement the Local Housing Strategy; • assist the Council to make a case to the Scottish Government for more funding to improve private and public sector housing in the area; • help the Council to determine how these resources should be targeted to assist owner occupiers, private landlords and its own tenants to maintain and improve their properties.
