What is the Persistence of Sovereign?
The persistence in Sovereign is represented by the players empires being able to remain in the game when they log out. Typically when you are playing a RTS game and you have to leave the game your forces are eliminated and the other players continue to play. In Sovereign your empire can remain in the game and the next time you log on it will still be in the game. Actually depending on the nature of your surrounding empires the empire that you left in the game could be under attack.
