Each NDA should have a maximum period of confidentiality of three years for the period of disclosure. For anything over three years, the PI must provide to the Office of Legal Affairs a separate, signed agreement agreeing to be bound for the additional period. A nondisclosure agreement containing an extended term will not be processed by the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) before this separate agreement with the PI is in place.
