What is the perception of the ‘Tata’ and ‘TCS’ brand in the UK?
Thanks to the Corus acquisition, Tata is now a household word in the UK. The TCS brand, too, is gaining a great deal more prominence.We did a survey to track the number of published articles on TCS, both in qualitative and quantitative terms, against India-based competitors as well as international competitors. Other criteria included the relevance and quality of the reference, as well as remarks by technical analysts such as Gartner. Against India-based competition we have been doing very well; in fact, the lead has widened over the past few quarters. Compared to international companies, only Accenture gets more mention than us in the UK marketplace. So, from a brand perspective, there is considerable awareness being created about TCS. Currently, the focus of our communication is ‘TCS at the forefront of innovation’. This was the theme at our customer event this year.
