What is the penalty if I don complete basic/comprehensive training?
If you do not complete the required training, you are in violation of Maricopa County Rule 316 § 310. Maricopa County will issue the permit holder a Notice to Comply (NTC) upon discovery of a first time offense, indicating the requirement to complete training. The permit holder will then have 30 days from NTC issuance to ensure a site representative has attained certification in the appropriate training. Failure to abide by conditions of the NTC will result in the issuance of a Notice of Violation (NOV) by the Control Officer.

Newly appointed employees will be granted 30 days from their date of hire to complete training and attain the applicable certification.
