What is the penalty for ignoring crocodile warnings in protected areas?
Anyone swimming or wading in a protected area where there are warning signs indicating estuarine crocodiles are or may be present, or where estuarine crocodiles have been frequently sighted or would normally be expected to live, can be fined. The maximum penalty is 100 penalty units (i.e. $10000).
